If you’re like most photographers, you probably love the flexibility that Lightroom gives you when it comes to editing your photos. But what if you want to add an overlay to a photo that’s already in the program? You can’t do it with the default tools, but there are a few ways to get around that. The first thing you need to do is open the photo in question and select it. Then click on the " Develop Module " button at the bottom of the screen. In the " Develop Module " window, click on the " Overlay Options " tab and then click on the " Add New Overlay… " button. In the new overlay window, type in a name for your overlay and then select a type from the drop-down menu. (You can choose from things like text or shapes.) Finally, click on OK to close out of this window. Now that you’ve created your new overlay, all you need to do is apply it to your photo. To do this, simply select your photo and then click on one of the tool buttons at the bottom of the screen (like Edit ). Next, click on one of the overlays that you created earlier and drag it over top of your photo. (Make sure that your original photo is still selected before doing this.) It’s important to note that this process isn’t always as simple as it seems. Sometimes Lightroom doesn’t seem to recognize overlays that you’ve created, which can be frustrating. However, if all else fails there are always some free online tools available that will help you get around any problems that may arise during editing." ..
