Adding artboards in Illustrator is a simple process that can help you create more efficient and organized illustrations. Artboards are a great way to store and manage your illustrations, and they can also be used to create prototypes or models. To add an artboard in Illustrator, open the file you want to work with and click on the Add Artboard button. The Add Artboard dialog will appear, as shown in Figure 1. Figure 1: The Add Artboard dialog in Illustrator The first thing you’ll need to do is choose the type of artboard you want to create. There are three types of artboards: storyboards, graphics boards, and wireframes. Storyboards are the most common type of artboard, and they’re used for creating rough sketches or designs. Graphics boards are used for creating more detailed designs or illustrations. Wireframes are designed to help you see your design ideas more clearly and make them easier to understand. Next, decide how many images per board you want to create. You can either use a default size or specify a specific size when creating your artboard. Once you’ve chosen the size, click on the OK button to add the new artboard into your Illustrator file. Now that your new artboard has been added, it’s time to start working with it!
