If you’re like most people, you probably use color to add personality and interest to your illustrations. But if you’re new to Illustrator, assigning colors can be a bit daunting. In this tutorial, we’ll show you how to assign a spot color in Illustrator. First, open up your illustration in Illustrator and select the object or area you want to color. Next, click on the Color Palette button (the three dots in the toolbar) and select the Color Picker tool (the small square with a pencil icon). Now, click on the swatch next to the “Hue” box and select one of the colors from the list that appears. Click on OK to close out of the Color Picker tool and return to your illustration. You’ll notice that your selected color has now been applied to your object or area. To change it, simply click on any other swatch in the Color Palette and select another color from the list that appears. ..
