When you first get a Playstation 4, it comes with a default joystick. If you don’t want it, you can buy one separately. But before you do, calibrate the joystick to your own preferences. Here’s how:

  1. Plug the Playstation 4 into an outlet and turn it on.
  2. Open the PlayStation 4’s software by pressing “PS4” on the main screen and then “System Settings.”
  3. In System Settings, select “Joystick.”
  4. In the “Joystick Configuration” section, set your desired sensitivity in the “Threshold” field and click on “OK.”
  5. Close System Settings and reopen it to save your changes.
