If you’re like most photographers, you probably export your photos to JPEG or TIFF files as the default format. But there are other options available, and you may be able to produce better-looking images by using them. In this article, we’ll show you how to change your export settings in Lightroom so that you can choose from a variety of formats. First, open the Export dialog box (Window > Export). On the left side of the dialog box, under File Format, select one of the following: JPEG (Joint Photographic Experts Group), TIFF (Transportable Image File Format), PNG (Portable Network Graphics), or BMP (Bitmap). Next, on the right side of the dialog box, under Output Profile, select one of the following: Fine (for high-quality images), Normal (for standard quality images), or Basic (for lower quality images).
