Playstation 4 controllers are designed to be used with a gamepad. To clean them, first remove the battery cover and unscrew the four screws on the back of the controller. Then, take off the gamepad and place it on a surface that is free from fingerprints or other contaminants. Pour a small amount of soap onto a cloth and place it over the controller’s buttons and face. Wipe down the controller with the cloth until all of the soap has been used.
