If your poodle has dirty ears, it’s time to take care of them. Cleaning a dog’s ears is an important part of keeping them healthy and clean. Here are four easy steps to follow:

  1. Gently clean the outer ear with a mild soap and warm water. Be sure to rinse well.
  2. If the ear is dirty inside, use a cotton ball or q-tip to remove any debris.
  3. Apply a small amount of petroleum jelly to the ear canal and insert the tip of your finger into it until you feel a gentle resistance (this will help keep the jelly in place). Gently work the jelly around until all of the dirt and wax are removed.
  4. Rinse off your fingers and ear cleaner, then dry off your dog’s ears thoroughly with a soft cloth or towel before putting on their usual collar and leash. ..
