If you’re ever going to have to clean fuel injectors, it’s a good idea to do it in stages. First, take off the old injector cover. Then remove the two screws that hold the injector in place. Be careful not to damage the injector itself while doing this. Now take off the entire fuel pump assembly. Be sure to discard all of the old pump parts and any filters that may have been installed with them. Now comes the hard part: cleaning the injectors themselves! Use a mild soap and water solution to clean each one thoroughly. Be sure not to get any of the dirty oil on your hands or tools!
