If you’re like most Photoshop users, you probably have a few predefined layer styles that you use all the time. But what if you want to create your own layer style? In this tutorial, we’ll show you how to do just that. First, open up Photoshop and create a new document. We’ll call ours “Layer Style Tutorial.” Next, select the “Layers” menu and choose “New Layer.” Name the new layer “Layer 1” and click OK. Now we’re going to create our first layer style. To do this, we’ll first need to select our “Layer 1” layer and then click on the “Styles” menu item located in the Layers panel toolbar (see image below). When the Styles dialog box opens (see image below), select the “Define New Style…” option from the list on the left side of the dialog box. This will open up a new window where we can enter our desired layer style parameters (see image below).
