If you’re a Jira user, there’s a good chance you’ve seen the “delete issue” button in the upper-right corner of your screen. This button lets you delete an issue from your project, but it can also be used to close an issue if it’s been closed by someone else before. To delete an issue from your project, follow these steps:

  1. Click on the “delete issue” button.
  2. Type in a message explaining why you want to delete the issue.
  3. Click on the “delete” button.
