If you’re a YouTube user and have an account, it’s important to be aware of how to delete your account. Deleting your account will remove all of your videos and any associated content, including any comments or ratings. To delete your account: Log in to YouTube. Click on the three lines in the top left corner of the main screen (the one with the green checkmark) and select “Delete Account.” Type in a reason for deleting your account (like “unable to continue using YouTube”) and hit “delete.” If you’ve already deleted your account, please follow these steps again so that all of your videos are backed up: Log in to YouTube. Click on the three lines in the top left corner of the main screen (the one with the green checkmark) and select “Delete Account.” Type in a reason for deleting your account (like “unable to continue using YouTube”) and hit “delete.” Click on “back up my channel” under “options” on the right side of the main screen. Select which videos you want backed up: all videos or just some specific ones. Click on “upload” under “options” on the right side of the main screen and enter a filename for each video you want backed up. Click on “upload” under “options” on the right side of the main screen and enter a description for each video you want backed up. Click on “upload” under “options” on the right side of the main screen and hit “submit”.
