If you’re like most Jira users, you probably have a lot of tasks that you don’t need anymore. Maybe you completed the task, or it’s no longer relevant to your current work. In any case, it’s time to delete that task! To delete a task in Jira, follow these steps:

  1. Open Jira and click on the Projects tab.
  2. Select the project for which you want to delete the task.
  3. On the left-hand side of the screen, under Tasks, click on the task that you want to delete.
  4. On the right-hand side of the screen, under Actions, click on Delete Task.
  5. Confirm that you want to delete this task by clicking on OK.
  6. Jira will now remove this task from your project and all associated data will be deleted as well! ..
