If you are a user of Avast antivirus software, you may have noticed that the virus chest has been filled with new viruses recently. This is likely because of the recent pandemic of SARS-CoV (severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus). To help prevent further spread of this virus, it is important to delete any viruses that you have not used in a while. To do this, open Avast and click on the three lines in the top left corner of the main screen. On the left side, you will see a list of all your current infections. On the right side, you will see a list of all your past infections. To delete a virus from the virus chest, simply click on it and then select Delete.
