If you have a Graco car seat, it’s important to detach it from the base before moving it. Doing so will make moving the seat easier and less likely to cause damage. To detach the car seat from the base, first remove the two screws that hold the base in place. Then use a Phillips head screwdriver to pry the base off of the car seat. Be careful not to damage or remove any of the plastic parts of the car seat. Once the base is off, you can remove and discard any old or damaged parts of the car seat. You may also want to replace any missing screws if there are any on your carseat.
