If you’re like most people, you probably use Photoshop to create beautiful graphics and photos. But if you want to create masks in Photoshop, you’ll need to know how to do it. A mask is a type of filter that lets you change the appearance of a layer or object in a document. You can use masks to change the color, opacity, and shape of an object. To create a mask in Photoshop, open the Layer Mask dialog box (LMB). In the Layers panel, click on the Add Mask button and then select a layer or object to add as the target. The Add Mask dialog box will appear with three fields: Name, Type, and Value. Name is the name of the new mask. Type is what will be used for this mask when it’s applied. Value is what will be used for this mask when it’s saved as a file. The three fields are case-sensitive so make sure they are all set to “None.” Click on OK to add the new mask and close the Layer Mask dialog box.
