There are a few ways to extract part of an image in Photoshop. The first way is to use the selection tool, which is located at the bottom of the palette. To select a small area of the image, click on it and then drag it up or down. The second way is to use the command prompt, which is located at the top of the screen. To select an area of the image, type commands into the command prompt and then press Enter. The third way is to use a layer mask. To create a layer mask, click on it and then click on Edit > Mask > New Mask. Type in a name for your new mask and then press OK. Now, you can select any part of your image that you want to masked out.
