If your car’s clutch won’t pop out of the “safe” position, it may be because the clutch cable is kinked. To fix this, take the car to a mechanic and have it checked out. If the cable is kinked, it can cause the clutch to not pop out of the “safe” position when you try to shift into first or second gear.
