Text can be flattened in Illustrator using the Flatten command. This command flattens all the text in a document, including the text itself, any images that are used within the document, and any other objects that are included within the document. The flattened text is then stored in a new file called “flattened.txt.” To use the Flatten command, first open Illustrator and create a new document. Then use the following steps to flatten all of your text:

  1. Open the Flatten command and click on one of your text pieces.
  2. Once you have clicked on theFlatten button, Illustrator will start to flatten all of your text into one big file.
  3. Once everything has been flattened, you will need to save this file as “flattened.txt.”
