If you’re like most people, you probably flip layers horizontally in Photoshop. But there’s a better way to do it – using the layer mask. The layer mask is a tool that lets you selectively remove content from a layer, making it easier to work with. For example, if you want to remove all the text from a layer, use the layer mask. This will make your text look like it’s on a different layer – without any of the editing hassle! To use the layer mask, select it in the Layers palette and click on its thumbnail. Then, select the content you want to remove from the layer (usually just one or two lines of text). Click on the arrow next to the content you want to remove and choose “Masking.” The mask will now be applied to that line of text – so all you need to do is edit it as needed!
