If you’re looking for a way to easily move large objects around your garage or driveway, you may want to consider making a car body dolly. This simple project can be completed in just a few hours, and it’s perfect for moving cars, motorcycles, or any other large object. To make a car body dolly, you’ll need: -A sturdy piece of wood at least 2 feet wide and 8 feet long -Tape measure or ruler -Plywood or other heavy material to use as a base -Two 2x4s or other sturdy pieces of lumber at least 24 inches long -1 inch thick PVC pipe (or similar diameter tubing) -Cordless drill with bit size appropriate for PVC pipe (optional) -Jigsaw or saw with appropriate blade size (optional) 1. Cut the wood base to the desired length and width. Make sure the base is at least twice as wide as the object you plan to move. The wider the base, the more stable the dolly will be. If you’re using plywood, cut it into four equal pieces before assembling. 2. Tape one end of each 2x4 together so that they form a U shape. The U should be about 1 foot from one end of the plywood base. Drill holes through both ends of each 2x4 so that they fit snugly into the holes in the base. This will help hold everything together while we build it up! 3. Cut two pieces of PVC pipe about 18 inches long and slide them over each end of each 2x4 so that they are flush with both ends of the boards. Secure them in place with screws if desired (I didn’t). You now have your car body dolly frame! Note: If your object is too big to fit inside either PVC pipe section, you can cut two longer ..
