If you’re a PlayStation 4 owner, there’s a good chance you have an account on Sony’s online service. But if you’re not sure how to create one, or if you just want to get started, we’ve got the guide for you. First, create an account on PlayStation Network. Once you’ve logged in, go to your account settings and click on the “Accounts” tab. In the Accounts section, click on the “Create new account” button. Enter your name and email address into the fields below and click on the “Create account” button. You’ll be asked to provide some basic information about yourself such as your gender and age. After creating your account, log in again and select it from the list of accounts that appear under “Accounts.” Now that you have an account on PlayStation Network, it’s time to set up some basic settings. To do this, go to your Account Settings and select “Settings.” In this section, select “Accounts.” Under “Accounts,” select “PSN.” Now under “Settings,” select “Security.” In this section, set up a strong password for your PSN account (12 characters or more). Click on the OK button to finish setting up your security settings. Now that you have a strong password for your PSN account, it’s time to set up some basic game play preferences. To do this, go to Account Settings and select “Settings.” In this section, select “Games.” Under Games," select “PS4.” Now under Games," select “Online Play.” Under Online Play," set up a rule that says only people who are registered with PlayStation Plus can play games online (this is called a ‘user rule’). Click on the OK button to finish setting up online play preferences for your PS4 game play experience.
