Argyle is a popular pattern in men’s clothing, and it can be easily created in Adobe Illustrator. The steps are simple:

  1. Create a new document in Illustrator with a width of 600 pixels and a height of 800 pixels.
  2. Select the Rectangle tool (M) and create a 600 by 800 pixel rectangle.
  3. Select the Argyle pattern from the Pattern Library and drag it into the rectangle you just created.
  4. Use the Direct Selection tool (A) to select all of the blue areas in the pattern, then press Delete (Backspace on a Mac).
  5. Use the Pencil tool (N) to draw lines along each of the blue areas you just deleted, then press Enter (Return on a Mac).
  6. Use the Eraser tool (E) to erase any unwanted lines or shapes from your document, then save your file as argyle-pattern-in-illustrator.ai ..
