If you’re like most people, you use Photoshop to edit photos and create graphics. But sometimes you want to make the UI (user interface) bigger. Here’s how to do it.

  1. Open Photoshop and choose File > New > Document.
  2. In the New Document dialog box, enter a name for your document and click OK.
  3. Choose the Size option from the Document Format menu and select Portrait from the Width menu and Landscape from the Height menu.
  4. Click on the Background layer in the Layers panel and change its fill color to #000000 . This will make your document’s background black instead of white, which will make your UI bigger when printed or displayed on a computer screen.
  5. Choose View > Fit All In Window to see your document’s entire contents on one screen at once (or press Command-F). If you want to resize individual elements of your UI, use the Selection tool () to select them and then use the Scale tool () to change their size (see Figure 1).
