If you’re like most people, you probably don’t think of your car as something that needs to be moved. After all, it’s just a piece of metal and plastic. But if your car is dead, or if it’s in a dangerous location, you may need to move it yourself. Here are some tips on how to do it safely and without damaging your car.
- Get a tow truck or a friend with a truck. If you can’t move the car yourself, you’ll need someone to help pull it away.
- Park the car as far away from the scene of the crime as possible. If there’s any chance that the police will investigate the scene, try to put as much distance between the car and the crime scene as possible.
- Remove any objects from inside the car that could damage or obstruct its movement (including seats).
- Open all of the doors and windows on both sides of the car so that air can circulate freely inside and outside of the vehicle. This will help prevent heat build-up inside of the car during transport and potentially cause damage or even an explosion.
- Place padding around any sharp edges on either side of the vehicle (such as door handles) so that you don’t injure yourself when opening them during transport. And be sure to remove any objects from under your seat before moving your car! ..
