When you want to move layers in GIMP, there are a few things you need to keep in mind. First, the layer’s name must be unique. Second, the layer’s thumbnail must be the same size as the layer itself. Finally, the layer’s opacity must be set to 100%. To move a layer in GIMP, follow these steps:
- Choose the Layer menu and select Move Layer.
- In the Move Layer dialog box, enter a new name for the new layer and click OK.
- The new layer will be moved to the top of your image and its thumbnail will change to match.
