If you’re like most people, you probably use Illustrator to create graphics for your website, brochures, or other types of print projects. But did you know that you can also use Illustrator to create graphics for your own personal projects? One way to get more out of Illustrator is to reorganize your artboards. By default, Illustrator creates four artboards: the main canvas, the left and right panels, and the bottom panel. You can also create additional artboards by dragging a new panel onto an existing one. Here’s how to rearrange your artboards:

  1. Open the file that you want to reorganize your artboards in.
  2. Select the main canvas in the document window. If there are any other panels open, close them now (you’ll need access to all of the panels later).
  3. Click on one of the empty areas on the right side of the main canvas (below where the artwork was originally placed). This will create a new “sub-panel.” 4. Drag and drop any artwork from within your document onto this sub-panel (or paste it from another file). You can now move and resize this artwork however you like without affecting any of the other artwork in your document. 5. Repeat steps 2-4 until all of your desired artboard arrangements have been created (or until you run out of space). 6. Save your changes by clicking on File > Save As… and selecting a filename for your new arrangement(s). ..
