There are a few things you can do to remove a car seat from a base Graco car seat. The first is to unlatch the harness and remove the child’s restraint. Then, use a sharp object such as a knife to pry the child’s seat from the base of the car seat. Be careful not to cut into the child’s neck or spine. If all else fails, you can use boiling water to try and dislodge the seat from its mountings.
