If you’re like most people, you love the look of a freshly polished car. But if you’re like most people, you also love the convenience of not having to take off your shoes to get in. Unfortunately, shoe polish can be a real pain to remove from car windows. Here are four tips for getting it off without leaving a mess:
- Use a hairdryer: If your car has a window that opens in the back, try using a hairdryer on low heat to heat up the polish and make it easier to remove. Just be sure not to overheat the glass or you could damage it.
- Use soap and water: If your car has windows that open in the front, try using soap and water on a cloth to clean them and then wipe them dry with another cloth. Be sure to use warm water if your polish is really stubbornly stuck on there.
- Try boiling water: Boil some water in a pot and pour it over the polish until it starts bubbling. Let it cool slightly before wiping it off with a cloth or paper towel. Be careful not to let any steam escape from the pot or you could end up scalding yourself!
- Use acetone: If all else fails, try using acetone on a cloth to remove the polish completely. Just be careful not to breathe in any fumes – acetone is highly flammable! ..
