Pioneer Car Radio Resetting Instructions If you have a Pioneer car radio, it is important to reset it. This will fix any issues that may have arisen since the last time it was reset.

  1. Open the car door and remove the battery cover. If your car has an audio system, this cover will also hold the audio cables. If your car does not have an audio system, remove the entire battery cover.
  2. Remove all of the screws from around the radio baseplate (if there are any). These screws are located on either side of the radio body (the one in front of you). Do not remove them if they are covered by plastic covers on either side of the radio body.
  3. Lift up on one end of each screw and then pull them out from under the radio body so that they can be removed completely (they should come out in two parts). You can now place your hands on top of both ends of each screw and twist them clockwise until they come out from under the radio body again (you should now see two black circles with white writing inside them). Now place these circles back onto top of each screw and twist them counter-clockwise until they come out from under the radio body again (you should now see two white circles with black writing inside them). Now reattach screws to their original positions and reattach battery cover to car door.
