If you’re like most graphic designers, you probably use Illustrator to create your designs. And if you’re like most graphic designers, you probably have a lot of artboards - each of which can hold a different type of design. But how do you select multiple artboards in Illustrator? Here’s how:
- Open the Illustrator file that you want to work with.
- Select the Artboard tool (it’s in the Tools panel on the left side of the screen).
- Click and drag to select all the artboards in your file. (If there are any hidden artboards, they’ll be revealed.)
- Release the mouse button when you’ve selected all the artboards you want to work with.
- In the Artboard Options bar at the top of the screen, click on Select All Artboards… . (Alternatively, press Ctrl+A/Command+A.)
- The selected artboards will be highlighted in blue - and they’ll also have a checkmark next to them in the Artboard list on the right side of the screen. (If there are any hidden artboards, they’ll be revealed and have a cross next to them.)
- To deselect an artworkboard, simply click on it again in either list and it will disappear from view - or press Delete (or Backspace if it’s keyboard-only mode). ..
