If you want to take off the PlayStation 4 cover, there are a few simple steps that you can follow. First, make sure that the power is off and the system is in standby mode by pressing and holding the power button for about 10 seconds until a blue light starts to flash. Next, remove the hard drive by gently pulling it out from the back of the system. Now, remove all of the screws that are located around the perimeter of the system by using a Phillips head screwdriver. Be careful not to lose any of these screws! Once all of the screws have been removed, lift up on one side of the system cover and pull it off. You may need to use a tool such as a flathead screwdriver to pry open some of the tabs that hold it in place.
