There are a few ways to do this, but the most common is to use a bungee cord. You can buy it at most hardware stores, or you can make your own. To tie the bungee cord around the canoe, you will need two pieces of wire. One will be long and the other will be short. The long wire should be about twice as long as the short wire. The long wire should be wrapped around the top of the short wire, then pulled tight. Make sure that both wires are tightly wrapped around each other so that there is no slack in between them. The second way to do this is to use a carabiner. You can buy them at most convenience stores or you can make your own using some old clothespins and a piece of metal tubing. To use a carabiner, first take off one end of the tubing and place it over one of the clothespins on your desk or countertop. Then take off the other end and place it over the top of the canoe’s bungee cord. Make sure that both ends are connected by their respective clothespins! Now tighten up those clothespins!
