If you’re like most PlayStation 4 owners, you probably have at least one copy of your favorite games. Whether you’re a die-hard fan of Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End or Just Cause 3, you know that transferring game data between your PS4 and another device is essential for continued gameplay. There are a few ways to do this, but the most common way is to use an external hard drive. However, if you’re looking to transfer large amounts of data or if you want to keep your games safe from accidental deletion, then a software solution is the way to go. Here’s how to transfer game data between PS4 and PC:

  1. Launch the PlayStation App on your PS4. This will open up the PlayStation Network settings. From here, select “Data Transfer.” This will take you to a screen where you’ll need to provide some information about your PS4 and PC. For example, if you want to transfer all of your saves from Just Cause 3 onto your PC, enter in “Just Cause 3” as the name of the game and “PC” as the computer name. You can also choose whether or not to include any DLCs in the transfer. Once everything is set up correctly, click on “Transfer.”
  2. Once Transfer has started, it will take some time for it to complete. You’ll be able to see a progress bar on the left side of the screen. The progress bar will gradually increase as Data Transfer completes its tasks. When it’s done, simply close PlayStation App on your PS4 and open up Windows 10/8/7 again so that Data Transfer can start again from scratch!
