If you’re like most people, you probably don’t know how to tune a carburetor on your summer car. Here’s how:
- Open the hood and remove the air cleaner and fuel filter.
- Remove the carburetor from the engine by unscrewing it from the frame.
- Locate and remove the air intake tube (if there is one) by unscrewing it from its fitting on top of the engine.
- Remove the air filter by unscrewing it from its fitting on top of the engine.
- Locate and remove the spark plugs by unscrewing them from their sockets on top of the engine (if there are any).
- Disconnect all wires leading to and coming out of the carburetor by pulling them out of their connectors (or breaking them).
- Place all components back in place except for the air cleaner and fuel filter, which should be placed back in place in their original positions.
