If you’re a PlayStation 4 owner, there’s a good chance you’ve turned on your console at least once in the past month. But if you’re like most people, you probably don’t know how to do it. Here’s how:

  1. Open the PlayStation Network app and sign in.
  2. Click on the “Settings” icon in the top left corner of the main screen.
  3. Scroll down to the “Network & Security” section and click on the “Enable PS4 network connection” button.
  4. Type your PS4 user name and password into the “Connection Settings” text field and click on the “Save Changes” button.
  5. Close all of your PlayStation Network apps and reopen them all so that they will be working properly again (if they were closed in step 4).
