If your car is frozen in the winter, there are a few things you can do to try and thaw it out. The first thing to do is check the temperature inside the car. If it’s below 32 degrees Fahrenheit, then you may need to call a tow truck or a locksmith to help you get your car unfrozen. If the temperature is above 32 degrees Fahrenheit, then you can try some of these methods:

  • Use boiling water: Boil a pot of water and pour it into the car. Make sure to get all of the ice off of the windows and doors. Wait 10 minutes and then open the door. If it’s unfrozen, great; if not, repeat until it is.
  • Use a hairdryer: Turn on your hairdryer and place it near the windowsill. The heat will start melting any ice on the window.
  • Use a vacuum cleaner: Put your vacuum cleaner tube into the car’s exhaust pipe and turn it on full power. The heat from the motor will start melting any ice on surfaces inside the car. ..
