There are a few things you can do to help unmerge visible layers in Photoshop. The first is to use the command “undo” on the layer’s name. This will undo the changes made to that layer since it was last merged. The second is to use the command “redo” on the layer’s name. This will redo the changes made to that layer since it was last merged, but with any changes that have already been made to other layers in the document.
