Mount Eso is a new action role-playing game for the PlayStation 4. It was announced by Sony Interactive Entertainment America at their PlayStation Experience event in December of 2017. The game is set on an unnamed planet, and players will explore it in search of treasures and power. The game is a collaboration between FromSoftware and Bandai Namco Entertainment, with both companies contributing new content to the game each month. The first content update for Mount Eso was released on January 25th, 2018. Mount Eso is a large open world action RPG with a unique combat system that borrows from Dark Souls and Bloodborne. Players will use their sword, bow, and magic to defeat enemies and bosses in order to progress through the game. There are also side-quests available that can be completed in order to earn rewards such as power ups or items. Players can create their own characters using the Create A Character option in the main menu, or they can choose from one of the many preset characters provided by Sony Interactive Entertainment America. Players can also join online multiplayer games with friends or other players who have purchased Mount Eso through PlayStation Network or Steam.
