Adobe Lightroom Classic is no longer being produced. This was announced by Adobe in a blog post on their website. The reason given for the discontinuation is that the software has been “out of date and not meeting the needs of today’s photographers.” Lightroom Classic was first released in 2009 and was designed to be an easy-to-use photo editor that allowed users to manage their photos, create albums, and share photos with others. It was also said to be more powerful than its predecessor, Lightroom 3.0. The discontinuation of Lightroom Classic comes as a bit of a surprise, as it had been reported that the software had been in decline for some time. However, it is still possible to purchase Lightroom 3.0 and older versions from Adobe’s website if you need them.
